The application year is the actual calendar year, with the deadline being December 10th, for both the Chapter and the State. Feel free to turn in your application “early” in order to qualify to be the National Winner! (See Below)
First Place (Local) $ 600.00
First Place (State) $1,000.00
First Place (National) $8,000.00 *
If you are the winner of our local competition, your application will automatically be forwarded to the State level. *You can receive additional amounts of up to $500.00 from the FLSSAR Ladies Auxiliary, a Runner-up award of $500.00 and a 2nd Runner-up award of $250.00.
Please include your 500 word Patriotic Theme Essay with the Application and Ancestor Chart.

The Eagle Scout Patch is available to each Eagle Scout who completes the Scholarship requirements.

The Saramana Chapter would be honored to receive Eagle Scout Recognition Requests to recognize any person that achieves the rank of Eagle Scout in Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice. Upon receipt of this request, Saramana will complete a recognition certificate. The Saramana Chapter would prefer to present The Eagle Scout Certificate at the Court of Honor, along with the SAR Eagle Scout Pamphlet that describes the SAR Scholarship Contest.
